More Texture - Zebras

Here is another experiment - except the texture has been applied to a photo (great shot Erica) of some zebras at the zoo. The zebras were cropped out and placed on a painted background. The texture then applied to help blend everything all together.

Texture (Robins Dream)

I've been a bit texture crazy lately and have been obsessed with learning all I can learn about adding texture to photos and/or paintings. Here is an experiment of texture that has been applied to a painting I did a couple years ago.

Elusive

Lately, I have been doing more fishing than painting and more fishing than catching.  So here is a little tribute to the source of my latest frustrations... The (elusive) trout!

Sunshine and Lollipops

With everything going on in the world today, I can't help but to think about the world my (our) kids will grow up in. This was an image that came to me late one night as I was trying to sleep. Eventually our kids will have to learn that this world isn't all sunshine and lollipops. It's a shame but perhaps they will have the answers we have yet to come up with... I hope!!!

Before the Storm

I have an infatuation with dark skies and sunlit ground. I love the atmosphere it can give a painting.  That was what I wanted in this... A little atmosphere, a little emotion, some interesting light and color, and a I couldn't leave out the dilapidated old barn. Thanks for checking it out!

Summers End

I have been in a painful learning mode and have not had a decent image to post lately. I have been on a quest for impressionistic color and light. It is a new technique for me and has been quite a challenge. Until now, I didn't feel I had much worth posting but this one at least resembles what I have been after. Thanks for checking it out.
