Before the Storm

I have an infatuation with dark skies and sunlit ground. I love the atmosphere it can give a painting.  That was what I wanted in this... A little atmosphere, a little emotion, some interesting light and color, and a I couldn't leave out the dilapidated old barn. Thanks for checking it out!

    I also love the emotion of this photo...dark skies but sunlit ground. i've often imagined taking a photograph like this however, I'm usually running away from a sky like that! I guess that's the advantage of painting it :D

    Thanks Chris! Yes, it's an interesting effect. Reminds me of those late afternoon summertime rainstorms. That golden light that appears through the breaks of the clouds.
